Last weekend we held a Ben(in)efit concert tour - one show in Ottawa and a second show in Burlington - to raise funds for our trip. Eight incredibly talented musicians formed an ensemble specifically for this occasion. They were such a hit! I highly recommend checking out their music: Stevie and Didi, Jonny Melo, and Tokyo Speirs. This fundraiser is one example of countless times throughout the process of preparing for this trip that I have felt overwhelmed by the generous support that has been offered by my family, friends, and even strangers.
